Sveta and Regina met in 2009 while competing in the 2010 Miss Anchorage Scholarship Program. They continued to compete together for several years and through the program became friends. Once presented with the chance to co-direct the Miss Chugiak/Eagle River Scholarship Pageant they jumped at the opportunity. Sveta and Regina are excited to take on this new adventure and continue to empower young women to pursue their dreams and support their education through scholarship.

We truly believe that the winner doesn't always walk away with the most scholarships. There are so many opportunities outside of the actual competition that are presented to contestants. Every year we have 8+ contestants compete in our program. Throughout the history of the Miss Chugiak/River Scholarship Program, we have had the opportunity to positively impact over 350 young women in achieving their education and community goals. To be able to continue this legacy is humbling. We are incredibly excited to continue to grow the scholarship fund and offer more scholarship opportunities than ever before!
